SCION DJ BATTLE 5/17/2008

Come battle it out with the area’s hottest DJs for a first place prize worth $500 or more!
 
THERE WILL BE 10 OPENINGS FOR THIS EVENT
We will be accepting 8 DJ’s for the main battle, along with 2 alternates. The alternates will still be given free passes to the show and must be ready to go in case one of the top 8 is unable to compete.  DJ’s will be responsible for bringing their own music, needles, slipmat, and mixer if needed.

JUDGING WILL BE BASED ON STYLE, SCRATCHING, JUGGLING, AND CROWD APPLAUSE

Round ONE - 3pm

1^st round each DJ will have about 3 minutes to showcase themselves.  After everyone has had their turn our professional judges will choose the 4 DJ’s that will move on to the Final round.

Round TWO - 6pm

The final 4 will get a chance to showcase themselves for another 3 minutes each, and the judges will choose who battles for 1st and 2^nd.  For the final battle, the DJs will have a total of 5 minutes to showcase themselves.  The judging and the crowd will finally determine which DJ is Top Dog.

***WE WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING 10 DJ’s FOR THE COMPETITION. (8 MAIN COMPETITORS AND 2 ALTERNATES) IF WE RECEIVE MORE THAN 10 SUBMISSIONS, THE 10 DJ’s WITH THE BEST DEMOS WILL BE PICKED*** 

Demo CD/VIDEO is not necessary to enter this contest but is strongly recommended.  It will give you a better chance of being selected should there be more than 10 submissions.
